This authentic Southern kitchen is quite a find, cooking up terrific soul, Cajun, Creole and Bar-b-que food since 1986. Itís a local favorite with something for everyone.
The menu varies from burgers and BBQ to their famous Creole dishes and Jambalaya. I always look forward to their fresh out of the oven corn muffins. Light and buttery, just the way I like them. Iíve sampled their Catfish Po Boy and Oyster Po Boy sandwiches and their spicy fried chicken (they have non-spicy fried chicken also) and they are fantastic.
You must try to save room for one of their incredible desserts. My favorite is the bourbon bread puddiní Ė unlike anything youíve ever tasted.
Kevin Huling and his small but dedicated staff make sure you have a great dining experience. The atmosphere is friendly and down home, like the cooking, accented by red checkered tablecloths and glass jugs in which they serve the tastiest fresh squeezed lemonade and root beer around. This is a very small restaurant, so parties of 5 or more need to make reservations. Food is available for take-out.
